		<description>The term &quot;unchurched&quot; is a misnomer because it implies that those not belonging to a church previously did so.  No data has been presented to show that presumption to be factual.  I believe that religious folk would not appreciate being termed the &quot;unenlightened.&quot;  In most usages the prefix &quot;un&quot; carries a faintly pejorative implication, and I believe that is true also in the term &quot;unchurched.&quot; In other areas, we are more sensitive and do not refer to the &quot;unwhite&quot; the &quot;undemocrats&quot; etc.</description>
