A strip club, two adult bookstores, an abortion mill, and … a Catholic church? They’re all within walking distance of each other in downtown Beaverton area, and the irony of the situation is not lost on David Renshaw, founder of Real Catholic Ministries.
“I’m sick and tired of being confronted by sins against purity on my way to Holy Mass,” said Renshaw. In response, Renshaw decided to coordinate a prayerful demonstration beginning n the St. Cecilia Parking Lot at 3 p.m. The “March for Purity” begins with invocation by Fr. Eric Andersen and will process to four locations where a rosary will be recited.
“It’s kind of like when a rival sports team comes to your town to defeat your team. Your gut reaction is, ‘Not in my house,’” Renshaw said. “Although, in this case, the stakes are much higher – people’s very souls and the dignity of all human life hangs in the balance.”
Anyone interested in participating in the March for Purity should arrive at St. Cecilia Church Main Parking Lot just before 3 p.m. Saturday, September 12 wearing a white shirt symbolizing purity. Contact Renshaw at: 503.640.3456 or david@realcatholicmen.com for more information.

Is this event just for men?
We get all excited for sports events, what a great event to get involved and root for.
This event was originally just for men, but I have heard women are going to be there as well. The more people, the better. God bless!
