Two new Bible translations (revisions) are out — The New American Bible and the New International Version Bible. Both were released at the start of the Christian Lent season on Ash Wednesday. The NBC News story shows many verse by verse translation changes to update it to modern American understandings. One example given is changing “booty” to “spoils”.
