NW zombies protest Westboro Church

Nearly 300 zombies showed up to counter-protest the famous and controversial Westboro Baptist Church in Dupont Washington according the Dupont News Tribune.   The Westboro Church protesters were on hand to protest at the Joint Military Base Lewis-McCord.  

Local area resident Melissa Neace upon hearing of the planned Westboro protest decided to conduct a counter protest by alertin 1,000 prospective zombies.  She told the local newspaper “We wanted to turn something negative around, into something people could laugh at and poke fun at. It was the easiest way to divert attention from something so hateful.”

Many of teh zombies supporters came to support the military and had friends who are serving.  Some of the zombies even sang the national anthem.
