Portland Church may be tied to dozens of abuse victims

September 7, 2012

Faith News Note:

A 29-year-old woman filed a civil lawsuit this week against one of state’s larger churches — the Apostolic Faith Church in Portland for abuse that occurred 20 years ago in the day care center. A 1994 suit against the church pointed to the same abuser. No charges have been made by authorities. The woman stated in a press meeting, “I know at least a couple – at least a couple – that three, four, five – that were in the day care that were abused along with me. As far as the church here in the Northwest, personally, I know of dozens. Over the last couple of months I’ve found out many, many more, and it’s about time that it stops.”

If more people spoke out like her, there would be fewer victims. I applaud her courage.

Someone needs to check the relationship between the head of the church at the time and the accused

This lady needs to get back with God and ask Him for forgiveness. This Church would never condone anything like that. She is just looking for ways she could get money because of the economic situation in the country.
