Great News: Adoption Tax Credit Made Permanent!
on January 1, 2013, Congress passed the American Taxpayer Relief Act, which includes a PERMANENT extension of the Adoption Tax Credit! Thank you to everyone who advocated for this vital financial resource. You have helped clear the way for many families to adopt, and most importantly, for children to have loving families of their own.
Unfortunately, though made permanent, the credit will not be refundable. We will post an update as more details emerge about how this new law will affect families and children. In the meantime, let’s celebrate this major victory for international adoption!
