Recently, 49-year-old Billy Sweeten was sentenced [6] to 38 months in prison on August 19 on the charges of arson to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Salem.The arson fire burned and destroyed part of the main sanctuary and also damaged the roof.St. Joseph is Salem’s oldest parish in Salem and served over 3,000 people.
