Oregon Faith Report News Note:
Basic Rights Oregon has started a TV ad campaign across Oregon. The ad (see video below) shows various same-sex and mixed couples giving personal testimonies about the meaning of marriage and marriage equality. The ads began July 19th and will run for several weeks. The Oregonian reports that the ads will run in the Coos, Clatsop and Washington counties, Jackson, Douglas and Lane County areas followed by a 50,000 brochure mailing.
A 2012 ballot measure on same-sex marriage is being planned.
