FREE MEALS AVAILABLE AT CATHOLIC CHARITIES SUN SITES THROUGH SUMMER
– School may be out for the summer, but students can still get free summer meals starting today
By Oregon Catholic Charities,
To ensure no children go hungry during summer vacation, Catholic Charities Schools Uniting Neighborhoods (SUN) Community Schools will serve breakfast and lunch to anyone aged 18-years and younger beginning June 25. Summer food provides children with free breakfast and lunch during the summer months when school lunch is unavailable.
“Last summer the David Douglas School District served more than 30,000 meals between June and August—a 61% increase over the year before,” said School Based Services Manager Alison Dunfee. “It is clear that summer meals are a very important resource for children and families experiencing food insecurity, especially in this economic climate.”
Catholic Charities will offer free summer meals at four SUN sites in East County. Locations and meal times are as follows:
Floyd Light Middle School June 25 – August 17 Breakfast 9 – 9:30 a.m. Lunch 12:30 p.m.
Ron Russell Middle School
June 25 – August 17 Breakfast 9 – 9:30 a.m. Lunch 12:30 p.m. East Gresham Grade School Breakfast 8:45 a.m. – 9:15 a.m. Monday through Thursday July 23 – August 16 Lunch 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday June 25 – August 23

Local Oregon foresters and craftsmen offer Woodturning Blanks for woodworking projects. Display your skills with a lathe by starting from pen blanks or bowl blanks and creating beautiful artwork. Your options expand even more when you consider the options with burl wood and wood slabs.
Finally, if you live in California, be sure to discuss your options at a Sacramento probate lawyer related to your estate and trust. Legal planning is critical, and having an attorney who comprehends probate administration and law will be invaluable!
