Portland homeless shelter scam uncovered

A Portland man asking for donations for a homeless shelter for vets has been busted by KATU Problem Solvers. They learned that Schon Tell, who calls himself a minister, has been collecting money for his charity, We Rise, for twenty-two years. Unfortunately, Tell is actually a convicted predatory sex offender, and the homeless shelter for vets he talks about doesn’t exist. Tell is presently serving time in the Multnomah County jail for violating his probation. When Problem Solver Kerry Tomlinson asked him what he did with all the money he has collected over the years, at first he claimed nobody donated. When she said she couldn’t believe that, he claimed his charity officers stole the money. As soon as he gets out of jail, he plans go back to the Portland streets to collect more money.
