The traditional campaign ads and speech attacks of the 2012 Presidential race by Republicans (and occasionally Obama) have been focused on issues and flip flops. With the recent surge of Newt Gingrich to GOP frontrunner has suddenly opened the door for negative attack ads directly at character and morality issues. NBC News showcases subtle campaign hits by Romney and Perry on Newt. Pastor Cary Gordon, of Cornerstone Church in Sioux City in Iowa, has released a video brazenly attacking Newt Gingich’s character. In just one afternoon, this small video was picked up in 6,000 press outlets.
