Detained Tigard man returns home, says Muslims not safe

Jamal Tarhuni is a Tigard man who went to Libya for a humanitarian trip for several months. He went with Medical teams International. Upon his return he was stopped in Tunisia by FBI and was interrogated — including a lie detector test and being asked to waive his Miranda rights (for which Tarhuni refused)Jamal Tarhuni told reporters, “Anybody from either the Arab or Muslim community, if you think you are safe, think again. Today it’s, me – tomorrow it could be you.”
