Although there was some uncertainty in recent weeks due to fiscal challenges, an annual big prayer breakfast here will go ahead next month as scheduled.
A report in the August Christian News Northwest told how financial support was slow in arriving for the 11th annual Clark County Mayors’ and Civic Leaders’ Prayer Breakfast.
But event organizer Stewart Kent said in late August that some fresh sponsorship dollars have come in to cover the big cost of holding the breakfast and that it definitely will take place Friday, Oct. 25 at the Vancouver Hilton.
Sponsored by Full Gospel Business Men’s Fellowship in America, the breakfast in recent years has drawn about 900 people.
Featured speaker this year is Christian musician John Sheptock, who was born without arms but who has overcome his hardships through faith in Jesus.
More information on the event will be in the October issue of Christian News Northwest. Information is also available from Kent at 360-944-7523 or [email protected], or on the web at clarkcountyprayerbreakfast.org.
