CA Co-ed bathroom bill repeal petition submitted

A statement from the Privacy for All campaign on their signature turn-in and a video they are highlighting about a similiar issue in Colorado.

Privacy for all students: “About the time that the last box of signatures was being submitted to a county recorder’s office yesterday, media in California and throughout the country suddenly took notice of the efforts by PFAS and all of you to overturn the co-ed bathroom law. PFAS welcomes the coverage, even though a little late and showing a not-so-subtle bias. So what is it that they are reporting? PFAS needed to submit 504,760 signatures. We submitted 620,422.That is a margin of more than 115,000 signatures. But large margins are necessary in California due to a fairly rigid process of validating signatures. We now have to wait out the long process of signature validation. It is too early to claim victory. What we can do right now is applaud the outstanding effort. In 90 days all of you not only produced those 620,422 signatures, you also drew a line in the sand. You took up the challenge of guarding the doors of our children’s bathrooms.”
