Bill passes to help disabled during pandemic

Oregon Right to Life,

Previously we asked the public to contact your state senator and representative, asking them to vote for SB 1606. I’m so happy to report that it passed unanimously!!! In fact, this effort was bipartisan, driven by Sen. Sara Gelser, a Democrat, who asked us to support this important legislation.

SB 1606 ensures that when Oregonians with disabilities are admitted to a hospital, they can bring a patient-designated advocate with them. This will allow patients, advocates, and doctors to work together to ensure the health of the patient.

Thank everyone so much for using your voice to advocate for your neighbors, especially during this pandemic.
