Gresham Church covered $1.5M in medical debt

KATU-2 TV News recently featured, Gresham’s East Hill Church pastors Keith and Coco Jenkins,  and thier church’s efforts to pay off nearly $1.5 million in medical debt and also distribute food during the COVID-19 pandemic.

East Hill along with Christian Assembly Church of Los Angeles, coordinated with RIP Medical Debt a New York-based nonprofit organization. Thansk to support from church members and the community the effort has helped Oregonians across 34 counties.

KATU-2 TV interviewed Pastor Keith Jenkins wife as she stated, “With COVID-19, it’s pushed us out the walls, four walls of the church and into our city. And so we’ve had numerous opportunities to partner with organizations — nonprofit and profit alike to minister to our city.”
