Oregon’s children population decline

New federal data reveal that Oregon is among the top five states for having the least amount children per population.  The other states are Maine, New Hampshire and Vermont.

Driving down the child-rate is the high number of families with young children who are emigrating out of Oregon.  At the same time a migration of older citizens are moving in to replace those leaving families.
