Wednesday, January 15, 2025
6:30 PM 8:00 PM
2127 NW Monroe Ave Corvallis, OR

OSU Newman’s 2025 Winter Term Lecture will be presented by Fr. Robert Spitzer.

As President of the Magis Center from 2009 to the present, Fr. Spitzer has led the effort to create the largest science-based “faith and reason” institute in the U.S., producing parish programs, catechetical and youth ministry programs, and web-based resources. He was President of Gonzaga University from 1998 to 2009. During that time, he increased the programs and curricula in faith, ethics, service, and leadership.

Fr. Spitzer will be presenting, via Zoom, on the Shroud of Turin, a linen burial cloth that is believed to have been used to cover Jesus’s body after the crucifixion. The lecture will be broadcast in Milam Auditorium. We encourage you to come in-person if you can.

We are honored to have Fr. Spitzer as our Winter term lecturer. The OSU Newman Lecture Series is free of cost with no registration required and open to all. Please join us.
