Local Christian Women’s Networking Group Celebrates Women’s History Month
4word Women is also promoting outreach effort
(Portland, OR – March 10, 2025) March is Women’s History Month and this year’s theme is a perfect match for 4word Women (4wordswomen.org), the only global organization dedicated to Christian women in business, led by Christian women in business. 4word is also promoting an outreach effort to encourage more women to join their local Portland Community Group which includes women from Northwest Oregon and Southwest Washington.
Many notable Christian women have left their mark on history to educate and inspire women today in profound ways. Women like Harriet Tubman, Maya Angelou, and Florence Nightingale teach us that faith, character, and support for one another can help each of us make a mark on our generation for years to come.
Portland is the founding group for 4word Women (known as 4word: Portland), created in 2012 by Corvallis born and raised Diane Paddison, a Fortune 500 Executive who saw a gap in marketplace ministries for women. “4word Women.org delivers strategies for balancing career and relationships while integrating your faith,” said Paddison. Portland’s active community group organizes monthly themed lunches (the third Friday of each month) and quarterly events to bring women together who “work, love, pray” and support one another.
This year’s Women’s History Month theme, “Moving Forward Together! Women Educating & Inspiring Generations,” is very fitting for 4word.
“4word Portland exists to support and connect women in the workplace so they can reach their God-given potential with confidence,” explained Naomi Inman, a leader in the Portland community. “We foster community and cultivate relationships through local groups and mentor programs. If you’re a career gal in Northwest Oregon or Southwest Washington, come and connect with us!”
Portland local Trina Lee, US Director of Programs at Africa New Life, has been the national mentoring coordinator for over 10 years. “Our 4word mentors have walked the path of navigating faith, family, and career. Now they want to walk beside you,” added Lee. “This year’s theme for Women’s history reminds us that women can only move forward together and that’s the heartbeat of our Mentoring program.”
