Oregon Right to Life to Host Annual Oregon March for Life
Saturday, May 30th in Salem
WHAT:
Oregon Right to Life (ORTL) will host the annual Oregon March for Life to peacefully advocate for a culture of life.
WHEN:
Saturday, May 30, 2026
2:30 PM – Speaker program
3:30 PM – March commences
WHERE:
Oregon State Capitol Park, 900 Court St. NE, Salem, Oregon.
WHY:
Oregon Right to Life advocates for the most vulnerable human beings whose right to life is denied or abridged under current law. We work to reestablish protections for all innocent human life from conception to natural death.
ORTL has held a local March for Life annually since 1970. The U.S. Supreme Court’s 2022 decision overturning Roe v. Wade put a sharper focus on the importance of pro-life action at the state level. That renewed emphasis inspired ORTL to move the annual state March for Life from January to May, the month that Oregon legalized abortion in 1969. Pro-life advocates from across the state will gather this year, as always, to remember the innocent lives lost to abortion and peacefully call for protections for the unborn.
ORTL also hopes the March will inspire pro-life advocates to get involved in their local communities and support women and families with life-affirming resources.
